A gentle, hands-on therapy for the kind of long-held strain that exercise and talking alone don’t quite reach.
What this is
Amatsu is a Japanese soft-tissue and structural therapy. Through gentle, hands-on techniques it helps the body rebalance its soft tissue, joints and overall structure, so it can move and settle more comfortably. It’s done fully clothed, with no oils or equipment.
How it differs
- Hands-on and gentle — not forceful manipulation.
- Works with the whole structure and the body’s own balancing systems.
- Done fully clothed, with no oils or equipment.
What this can help with
People often come for:
- Muscular tension and tightness.
- Restricted or uncomfortable movement.
- Long-held postural and structural strain.
- The physical residue of stress, and general stiffness.
What to expect
A hands-on session, fully clothed, lasting about an hour. Most people find it deeply calming, and the effects tend to build over a short course rather than arriving all at once.
Credentials & training
Martin is trained in Amatsu, within more than twenty-five years of clinical practice spanning manual therapy, movement and Tung’s acupuncture.
