Find the moment your body can change.
A quiet, guided way of working with how you move — and how you feel in your own body.
I don’t move you, and I don’t correct you. I guide you to find the moment where your body changes itself.
In every movement there’s a point where the body is most open to change. Learn to find that moment — and meet it with the smallest, most attentive movement — and the body begins to reorganise itself, quietly, on its own terms. Nothing is done to you. The work is yours; I guide it.
Kinesis works with the whole of you, from the inside out.
It isn’t a fix, and it isn’t a technique aimed at one problem — it’s a way of working with how the body learns. Most of us have been taught to think our way out of how we move — more information, more correction, more effort. Kinesis works the other way round. You make small, self-directed movements while I guide your attention to what you feel; and in the feeling, the body finds better organisation on its own. It already knows how. What it needs isn’t instruction but the right conditions — and the space to notice.
Most people feel different before they stand up.
You’ll lie or sit, clothed and comfortable, while I guide you — in words — through small, slow movements you make yourself, and ask you to notice, with real precision, what changes. Usually there’s no hands-on contact at all; the movement is entirely yours. Just occasionally I might suggest a possibility through the lightest touch — an option to explore, never a correction. The changes are often subtle in the moment and clearer afterwards: standing feels easier, moving feels freer, something has settled.

From the tips of your toes to the top of your head
The work reaches all of you — from the tips of your toes to the top of your head, and all the way into your central nervous system. Guided to move each part yourself, in the same unhurried way, is often where the whole body finds its balance again.
One-to-one sessions — the heart of the work.
This is the personal, unhurried work: just you and me, an hour, guiding your body to meet itself where it is. It’s the truest way to experience Kinesis, and where the real change happens.
A weekly live class and training for practitioners are coming — a living practice to belong to, not a library to log into.
About Martin
Martin Quinn brings twenty-six years of clinical practice to this work — across movement, Anatomy in Motion, massage, Tuina, Kore Therapy, Tung’s acupuncture and NLP — together with an earlier career as an engineer, and the engineer’s eye for how a structure organises itself. Kinesis is what emerged from all of it: not another method borrowed and bolted on, but a single, coherent way of understanding why good bodywork works at all — and a way of guiding people to change from the inside out.
There’s a good deal of thinking underneath this gentle work — about perception, about how the nervous system learns, about why so many different traditions arrive at the same place.
